Country Jam
Artist Lorraine Jacobs was driving through downtown Nashville Tennessee (aka "Music City USA") when she spotted these two fellows 'jamming' on a street footpath.
The old-timer who hasn't ever quite 'made it' and the newly arrived young hopeful from down country somewhere have found in each other a willing partner for their impromptu concert.
This piece was a commission for Nashville's Craig Wiseman.
Craig is a gifted American country music songwriter and has won several Grammy and Dove Awards. He has had his songs recorded by Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, LeAnn Rimes, and several others.
His credits include the Number One singles "The Good Stuff" sung by Kenny Chesney and "Live Like You Were Dying" sung by Tim McGraw, which were declared by Billboard as the Number One Country Songs for the years of 2002 and 2004, respectively; "Live Like You Were Dying" also earned Craig the 2004 Grammy Award for Best Country Song.
At the 45th annual Country Music Awards, Craig won Songwriter of the Year. In addition, three of his compositions won awards for being among the most played songs of 2007.
He's a witty, fun-loving, very talented man!
