Just along the road from our home on New Zealand's Canterbury Plains is this magnificent eucalyptus towering over a cluster of farm buildings. We love to walk along this road, taking delight in the fields of sheep and crops, the clean fresh air, and the sweetly exuberant trills of skylarks high overhead. Across the fields to the west are 'our' beautiful snow-covered Southern Alps. A 'slice of heaven' indeed!
Vowing that New Zealand artist Lorraine Jacobs is one of the "best replicators of rust" that he has ever seen in a painting, the collector who bought this painting has travelled along this road many times!
