Castle Hill Formations 5

Castle Hill Basin is found approximately 90km northwest of Christchurch on the road to Arthur's Pass and the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island.
It is characterised by its distinctive limestone rock formations, remnants of limestone formed 30-40 million years ago when much of present day New Zealand was covered by the sea.

Limitless combinations of interesting shapes and patterns provide a fascinating adventure landscape for all who visit the area.
This is one of my series based on the Castle Hill rocks.
